FAQs

A ZONO disinfecting and sanitizing cycle lasts only 38 minutes and items are immediately ready for use. Units utilizing the heat or drying component take 90 minutes. These cycles are separate from sanitizing cycles.

No, it does not. The ZONO does not clean, it simply disinfects and sanitizes with ozone. We recommend you continue to wash soiled items before placing them in the ZONO.

The ZONO uses ozone to disinfect and sanitize by converting the oxygen in the cabinet to ozone. Ozone is just oxygen with an extra molecule. Ozone is commonly used to purify drinking water and it eradicates germs on food processing equipment.

Generally, for assisted living facilities or nursing homes, model SC 2 Double Door Double Deep OR model SC 1 Single Door Triple Deep are recommended. These models fit mattresses, wheel chairs, furniture, etc. These model packages include a heating and drying element along with carts.

The SC 1 or the SC 2 Double Door models would be recommended. Other accessories are available upon request.

ZONO machines are upright like refrigerators. They easily fit into an eight-foot-high room. ZONO offers multiple model sizes. Our most popular models include:
ZONO SC 1 Single Door* (76 3/16” H x 26 ½” W x 31 3/16” D), the ZONO SC 2 Double Door* (76 3/16” H x 52 5/8” W x 31 1/16” D) and the ZONO SC 2 DD Double Door Double Deep** (80” H x 52 5/8” W x 58 9/16” D).

Anything with a heartbeat should not go in the ZONO. We also do not recommend putting certain types of rubber inside of the ZONO, such as rubber bands as it may decrease elasticity over time.

You should buy the ZONO model and quantity that best fits the needs of your facility. Dispersing several carts at various locations throughout your facility can help you queue items in need of sanitization, quickly and roll sanitized items right back.  Depending on the size of your facility, you many consider placing a ZONO on each floor to optimize its utilization.

Yes.

The ZONO comes with a standard 3-year warranty. Optionally we can include carts that are appropriate for your items to be disinfected. They can be itemized separately or with the ZONO’s cost. Ask your consultant which accessories fit your facility's needs.
